Franklin Makes Cut: Announces Final Three
One of the top players in the 2019 class made the cut this week, announcing his Top Three. Cathedral (IN) guard Armaan Franklin announced his final selections for college with Xavier, Purdue, and Indiana making the cut.
For Franklin, he’s established himself as a Big Ten level talent and with a solid season on the AAU circuit with Meanstreets. He also had offers from DePaul, Ohio State, Ball State, Miami (OH), Butler, Clemson, Louisville, as well as other low-major offers.
Now, he’s ready to make a decision. Word is that could come during or after the official visits he has coming up. He will take visits to Purdue (August 30th), Xavier (September 7th), and Indiana (September 14th) in that order.
Last season for Cathedral, Franklin averaged 23.0 points per game, 3.8 assists, and 7.8 rebounds. Playing for Meanstreets on the EYBL circuit, he averaged 10.9 points, 2.0 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game in 21 games played this year.
Franklin also showed a little better mid-range jumper. It is the one part of his game where he is going to have to improve. He can score the ball really well off the bounce and in the lane but will need to improve as a perimeter shooter but the form and release looks improved since last high school season.
