ENC Backcourts to Watch: Part 3
Cape Fear Christian 2019 Riley Adams & EJ Bethea: With Riley as one of the few players that will be returning to the team, he will have a much larger role on the squad and will be a player that they can trust to score the ball. Francis Marion is the first school to offer Adams, Another player, EJ Bethea is a solid player as well, he can score the ball at a nice rate and recently picked up an offer from Lees Mcrae.
First Flight HS 2020 Jordan High & Dylan Blake: If there is a combination of better shooters in the state, then I personally will need to see them. These young men can shoot the ball at a very high level from deep and have nice range on their shots. We fully expect them to have another outstanding year and to possibly even break some records for three pointers made.
Farmville Central 2020 Justin Wright & 2021 Terquavion Smith: We saw last season the type of ability that these two young men have, Wright has picked up multiple offers from D1 level schools and will have a chance at more this year. Smith is a special player in his own way, he has a long wingspan, and is a crafty scorer that causes all types of issues for defenders.
Lejeune 2021 Jaylen Armstong & 2020 Malachi Borders: Armstrong is a player that we got to see up close during the College Prospect Combine, he’s quick and athletic as well as being a solid defender. Borders is more of a scoring guard but can play the Point Guard spot as well, he plays the game with confidence and will only get better over the next two seasons.
Overhills 2020 Jase Ford & 2021 Cinque Lemon: Between these two players you can expect: plenty of points, confidence, and the will to win games. Ford has his coming out party during the College Prospect Combine where he showed everyone in attendance how special he can be. Lemon is still finding his way but will step into Overhills this season with a much larger role and we fill he will do a nice job of being able to fill that role.
