Class of 2021 (Top Forwards/Posts)
Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top forwards and post players in the Class of 2021.
Yaya Keita 6’9″ DeSmet: Emerging young big who plays with a very high motor. He averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 blocks as a freshman for the Spartans.
Jaylen McDaniel 6’7″ Blue Springs South: Talented youngster who has excellent athletic ability and length, which makes him a factor on both ends of the court.
Sam Thompson 6’9″ Francis Howell: Skilled young big who averaged six points and four rebounds on a district championship team. Has a nice touch around the basket with an improved perimeter stroke.
Sekou Gassama 6’10” DeSmet: A long and lanky post player with solid moves inside and excellent shot blocking ability. Forms are formidable twin-towers duo with teammates Yaya Keita.
Jonathan Dunn 6’5″ Chaminade: A hard-working combo forward who earned varsity minutes on a team that finished second in the Class 5 state tournament. Rebounds well and runs the court hard.
Keyren Spiller 6’3″ Center:A physical combo forward who is tough when he gets into the lane to get buckets. He earned All-Conference honors as a freshman.
Connor Bekebrede 6’5″ Fort Zumwalt South:Solid young post who started every game for the Bulldogs Class 5 state quarterfinals team. A strong rebounder who showed some nice offensive game inside during the summer.
Donnie Brown, Jr. 6’6″ New Madrid County: A thick-bodied post player with excellent fundamental moves around the basket and a nice shooting touch.
Harrison Wilsmen 6’6″ Priory: Improving post player who averaged five points and four rebounds as a freshman. He’s mobile with a nice touch around the basket. Playing quarterback on Rebels’ football team this fall.
