Class of 2015: Where are they now?
The 2015 class in the state of Michigan had plenty of talent and a lot of guys excelled at the next level. Some guys have even gone on to play professionally. Here is a look at where some of the top guys are now.
Deyonta Davis (Muskegon)
After posting dominant numbers at Muskegon High School and winning Mr. Basketball, Davis took his talents to Michigan State. He played just one season under Tom Izzo, averaging 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. He was then selected in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. He didn’t have much success with the Grizzlies and was recently traded to the Sacramento Kings. In two seasons with the Grizzlies, Davis averaged, 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds.
Eric Davis (Saginaw Arthur Hill)
Davis was an absolute stud at Arthur Hill back in 2015, which led to him getting a scholarship to Texas. Davis spent three seasons with the Longhorns and just posted the best numbers of his career in the 2017-18 season. The 6-foot-3 point guard announced he is going pro after averaging 8.8 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 35 percent from deep in his junior season.
Trevor Manuel (Lansing Everett)
Manuel has had quite the interesting career in basketball. Like most top players, Manuel received a full scholarship to play Division I basketball. He signed with Oregon, but played just 64 minutes for the Ducks before transferring to Loyola Marymount. After one season at Loyola Marymount, he is now with Olivet College. Manuel averaged 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game with Loyola Marymount. Manuel told the Lansing State Journal that he still plans to play in the NBA.
Seth Dugan (Ostego)
The 7-footer played well enough at Ostego to get a scholarship to Western Michigan University. Dugan has played three seasons with the Broncos with his best season coming in 2016-17. He battled injuries last season, but managed to start five games and play in 23. He averaged 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds. He also led the team in field goal percentage, making 50.5 percent of his shots from the field.
Bradley Brechting (Cedar Springs)
Brechting redshirted for Oakland last season after breaking his toe in October. In his sophomore season with the Golden Grizzlies, Brechting appeared in 31 games, starting five while averaging 3.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. Brechting is going to return for his junior season and should improve his numbers.
