Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 Expo: Preview
Its that time of year again. Time to gear up for one of the top basketball camps in the country. The Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo will be in Michigan on September 16, at the MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids.
The Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo has been a place in Michigan where kids improve and get a chance to play in front of college coaches and media. The event has helped to create legends. Who can forget two years ago when Harlond Beverly went crazy in game play. Prep Hoops Top 250 has helped solidify players as college prospects. Basketball players like Justin Fischer have come to the event in Michigan and put college coaches on notice that he was a prospect they needed.
The event is taking shape for 2018. Let’s take a look at some of the competition that will be there:
SENIORS COMING OFF A BIG SUMMER:
Josh Palo (2019, G, Howell)
The sharpshooting guard with handles turned heads this summer. He’s quick and confident, and will be a player to see.
Trevor Boers (2019, F/C, Capac High School)
Boers put on a show this summer. What college coach doesn’t want a 6’9” big man that can shoot the three? Not only can he score from the perimeter, but he’s a force in the paint as well.
ELITE SENIOR BIG MEN
Justin Rukat (2019, F, Detroit Catholic Central)
Rukat is a tough matchup at 6’8”. He’s a shot blocker and is tough on the glass. Rukat also has the ability to step outside and hit a jumper.
Caleb Hodgson (2019, PF, Danville)
Hodgson will be one of the most dangerous post players in Michigan this season. He’s great off a pick-and-pop from deep. Hodgson is excellent on the defensive glass as well.
SENIORS THAT DOMINATE THE PERIMETER
Isaiah Lewis (2019, G, Wayne Memorial)
Lewis will be a must-see guard in Michigan. He is an elite shooter who can play on or off the ball. Lewis has developed into a top notch floor leader.
Clayton Dykhouse (2019, PG, Zeeland East)
Dykhouse is a prototypical point guard who will certainly find a home at the next level. He is an excellent distributor and floor general. Dykhouse is one of the most efficient and mistake free players in the state.
