Barring any last minute decisions, the college destinations of the Class of 2018 in Oregon have been determined and this month, many of those getting ready to start their college basketball careers will have enrolled in school. Division III can be a little hard to track as there are no official signees, but here’s our list of those who are heading to the Division III level. This list will be adjusted as we learn of new players added this winter.
|Brooks Boutwell||6’6||PF||Lake Oswego||University of Dallas|
|Jack Poling||6’10||C||Westview||Pacific Lutheran|
|Zak Hankins||6’1||SG||Sheldon||Pacific (Ore.)|
|Chase LaPerle||6’4||SF||West Albany||Pacific (Ore.)|
|Jalen Lowery||6’2||SG||Central Catholic||Lewis & Clark|
|Will Nisbet||6’4||SG||Central Catholic||Colorado College|
|Duane Stokes||5’11||PG||Grant Union||Pacific (Ore.)|
|Isaac Zachem||6’4||SG||Marist||Colorado College|
Breakdown: As it is usually the case, the in-state members of the Northwest Conference successfully recruited most of the players that went the D-III route for college. What is out of the ordinary is the numbers are relatively low, although when schools finalize their rosters we may see more names pop up.
Of note are the out-of-state recruits, with Brooks Boutwell heading to the University of Dallas and the duo of Will Nisbet and Isaac Zachem to Colorado College.
Ranked #25, Aaron Baune is the highest-ranked member from PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2018 rankings heading to the Division III level, and he didn’t have to go far staying right at home in McMinnville at Linfield. Rowan Anderson is next highest at #30, heading to Whitworth.
