Solano County has a lot of talent in its sophomore class. Many of these players hit the scene hard at their schools making a name for themselves during their freshmen year. As we head into the 2018-2019 season we were able to come up with an All-Solano County Sophomore team with the top 5 players out of the county.
Isaac Montgomery – Guard Vanden HS 5’8
Montgomery played varsity last year as a freshman but his minutes were up and down for the Vikings. After a good run during AAU he is looking to take on a bigger role this year for Vanden and make an impact as a sophomore.
Jeremiah Jones – Guard Wood HS 6’0′
Jones played really well as a freshman for Wood. He was the team’s starting point guard and was able to help lead them into the playoffs. With UC Santa Barbara commit Jay Nagle off to college Wood’s team will go through Jones.
Jacob Albrecht – Guard Dixon HS 5’8′
Jacob had a great freshman year at Dixon as he played junior varsity before eventually getting pulled up to varsity. He has a really good feel for the game and has potential to be a good floor general.
Juwelle Jack – Guard Vallejo HS 5’10’
Jack is a good athlete who has the capabilities becoming a two-way player. He jumps well for his size and he is good at attacking the rim.
Jaden Alexander – Wing St. Patrick’s-St. Vincent’s HS 6’3′
Alexander will have a breakout year for the Bruins due to his development over the summer. He has a high ceiling and his skill set has improved so much since his freshman year.
Other Names to watch for:
1. Matthew Elliott – Jesse Bethel HS 5’10’ Guard
2. Christian Cerrato – Armijo HS 5’8′ Guard
3. Noah Franklin – St. Patrick’s-St. Vincent’s
