Here’s a look at some movers in the 2019 class.
6’4″ G Harlond Beverly joins Montverde and comes in at No. 8 overall.
- Montverde continues to add top notch talent year after year and Harlond Beverly certainly fits the bill coming down from Michigan. The athletic guard has 19 total offers from Nebraska, Buffalo, Minnesota, UF, Louisville, LaSalle, Oral Roberts, Texas, VCU, Northwestern, UNLV, Ohio State, Missouri, Detroit, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan, Baylor, Michigan State and Arizona State.
6’2″ West Oaks G Tyrell Jones uses a big summer to move up to No. 16.
- 32 offers have come the way of Tyrell Jones since the month of June. He was already a confident point man and attacker/shooter but now his stock his on the move and fast. The list for Jones includes SMU, TCU, UF, Minnesota, Georgia, Louisville, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Saint Louis, Clemson, Boston College, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Wichita State, Houston, Western Kentucky, Kent State, Auburn, Xavier, VCU, Buffalo, Illinois State, Tulane, Southern Miss, Wyoming, La Salle, UMass, Little Rock, Old Dominion, Rutgers, Winthrop, FAU, FGCU, Tennessee Tech, USF, FIU and UAB.
6’9″ Lake Howell F Jonathan Lawrence racks up some offers and is now at No. 53.
- Being a fundamentally sound big man certainly helps draw attention. Jonathan Lawrence is just that and a solid shooter for his size. He has 12 offers currently with UF the latest to extend an offer on Monday. His list also includes Rice, Georgia Tech, Brown, Dartmouth, MIT, UCF, Navy, Eastern Washington, Army, SE Missouri and Presbyterian.
6’4″ Wellington F Linton Brown makes his move to No. 85 overall.
- A key factor for Wellington in the Class 9A playoffs was Linton Brown. The 6’4″ guard/forward averaged 18.5 PPG in Lakeland as the Wolverines finished as the state runner-up. He had a very nice summer with Florida Elite. No offers have come yet but the instinctive player has drawn interest from Kansas State and North Carolina Wesleyan.
6’5″ Boone F Marlon Allen is an intriguing prospect at No. 131.
- Marlon Allen had his best game last season at the right time, an upset win over national powerhouse Oak Ridge. He scored a game-best 27 points in that matchup as Boone led the entire way. This summer, he took his talents to Team MOAM and served as a versatile piece. He’s in for a steady season this fall and should draw attention from plenty of colleges with his size and presence inside.
