The 2018 AAU season has come to an end and the next wave of players that will be recruited at a high-level are ready for their junior season and will be on everyone’s twitter line in a few months. Here is a look at some of the top teams in North Carolina for the upcoming AAU season. 

PSB Elite-Top 2020 forward Justice Ajogbor (offers from Power 5 programs. returns for his final AAU go around. Newcomers include 6’3 PG Ford Cooper (Carmel Christian), 6’5 W Avery Keller (Hibriten HS), 6’5 wing Jalen King-Joiner (High Point Christian), 6’6 W Jackson Threadgill (Davidson Day), 6’6 W Eugene Brown (SW Dekalb HS), 6’9 Beau Maye (Hough HS), 6’9 C CJ Huntley (Davidson Day), 6’9 F Aymeric Toussaint (Freedom Christian). 

Team CP3-2020 big man Cameron Stitt (United Faith) Long, athletic, blocks shots, rebounds, can handle the ball, plays above the rim, soft touch around the rim. , 2020 PG Jalen Cone (Walkertown HS), 2021 PG Camren Hayes (Greensboro Day) Hayes is going to be one of the best PG’s in NC over the next two seasons. High energy, great size at 6’2, strong in transition, knock down shooter out to the three-point line.

Team United-Josh Banks (Olympic HS), Jaydn Parker will anchor the 17U Team this next season on the Nike EYBL circuit. 6’8, 2020 Jabez Thomas, 6’3, 2020 guard Christian Bailey, 6’0, 2020 guard Trayden Williams and 2021 PG Cyncier Harrison. Banks is a long athletic wing and shoots it and can play above the rim. High motor Jabez is a powerful athletic big that plays way above the rim. Rebounds and defends at a high level who can also play with his back to the basket. Trayden is a true point guard that shoots it really well. High iq and great on ball defender

Garner Road-UNC commit Day’Ron Sharpe will be the catalyst for one of the best teams in the country on the Adidas circuit. Throw in 2021 Carson McCorkle (has high-major offers), Djimon Bailey will bring the size at the guard position standing 6’5. Kaleb Scott, is another prospect that should start garnering some attention. 

Team Charlotte is always one of the top teams in the state. Jeff McInnis, a former NBA player really gives back to his community and makes the kids better in basketball and in life. 6’3 AJ Smith, a 2021 PG (Hickory Ridge HS) is one of the toughest guards in the Charlotte area. Also look at 2019 6-6 SF Anjay Cortez for next season.  6’5 PG Nolan Dorsey, and Nick Farrar, a 6’6 wing in the 2020 class.
