The first live period of the month was busy with plenty of action, numerous players from all over the state got offers and interest. Also we had several players decide to transfer schools or even decide to go the prep school route, so let’s take a look and get updated with what’s going on.

  • Dakari Johnson is a player that we got to see quite a bit of over the past few years, he finished out this season at Hoke County on a very high note and was named the Conference Player of The Year. Following the season he made the decision to attend Washington Academy for a year of prep school in Greenville, NC and has already seen his recruitment rise. Schools such as: Longwood, UNCA and High Point University so far with more schools to come.
  • Jordan Love is another player that has decided to go the Prep School route but has recently picked up offers from two D1 programs in the Ohio Valley Conference so things could get interesting for him. Anytime you have a player that is 6’5 that can score the ball the way he does, then you have to be impressed without a doubt.
  • Talton Jones of Trinity Christian & Flight 22 is beginning to see his recruitment heat up, after picking up an offer from Liberty, he now has interest from: Akron, New Mexico, IUPIU and Furman. Jones brings a lot to the table for his team at the PG spot as is one to keep an eye on over the next few months to see how things go.
  • Team Wall Wing Jamal King picked up an offer from Campbell University recently, King put up video game type numbers during his time at Wayne Country as a sophomore and is still in the process of deciding where he will play his senior year.
  • United Faith & Team Loaded Guard Shakeel Moore has been blowing up lately and has picked up another offer from the staff at ECU.
  • Oak Hill Academy & Team CP3 F/C B.J Mack has a busy day recruiting wise as he returned from Peach Jam, he picked up offers from: St. Louis, ECU, George Mason and Indiana State all in the past 48 hours.
  • Southern Durham HS 2019 Guard Jayvis Harvey picked up two offers during the 1st period with one coming from Citadel and the other UNC-Asheville.
  • Team CLT Wing Josh Hall grabbed an offer from New Orleans, we most definitely like the upside that Hall has with size and skillset from the wing position
