What We Learned In July: Pt 1
We got the chance to see a high amount of basketball talent in July, there were numerous events such as AAU, Camps and workouts that we got the chance to sit it on and watch.
One of the first events of the month was the College Prospect Combine at West Brunswick HS, the amount of talent that was in attendance was very impressive and we have shared quite a few of the names that stood out to us.
Guard Christian Hampton is a special player and will only see his recruitment rise, he took the floor with Team CP3 this summer and showed the same type of talent all month long. He is super athletic , crafty with the ball and plays the game with a confidence you love.
Guard Reggie Walton is one of the of the better competitors that you will come across in the state, it doesn’t matter who he is matched up , he is going to bring his A game and only get better.
Guard Jajuan Carr has shown that he is a legit D1 prospect and has picked up a nice amount of interest to go along with his offer from ECU that he already holds. Next season he will take the floor at Wilson Prep and will turn plenty of heads as he will be closer to the Triangle area of the state.
Wing Yates Johnson is on track to have a bigtime season for Terry Sanford HS, at 6’5 with the ability to shoot the ball, you can see why he is a player that colleges should be keeping an eye on.
Wing Reggie Raynor is one of the more athletic players and has put in quite amount of time on his body and skillset to take his game to the next level. With Coppin State already extending an offer, he is a player that can see his recruitment rise with the right amount of production.
Forward Trey Pittman is a nice size player that you can put in pick and pop situation as well as playing some possessions on the block as well. There is still plenty of upside left in him and we feel like he is only gonna raise his stock with some stellar play this year.
