UTS Elite 15u Takes Home Brawl For The Ball Gold Title

The UTS Elite 15u squad returned from the Adidas Championships with an eye on Grand Rapids. The event was starred on their schedule because the players and coaches were focused on performing in front of family and friends back in Michigan. UTS Elite 15u didn’t disappoint those in attendance. They battled through a tough field and brought home the 15u Brawl for the Ball Gold Championship.
UTS Elite 15u rode a dominating defensive performance. In 7 games, they had an overall record of 6-1, only twice allowing over 50 points. Their defense was suffocating and intense throughout the event. UTS Elite 15u looked solid in both man-to-man and zone sets. On Sunday, they rebounded extremely well which allowed them to push the ball, run on the break, and get buckets in transition. UTS Elite 15u was efficient when finishing at the rim which opened up good looks at the basketcfrom the perimeter. They had some new additions in the post that brought energy and excitement as well. The UTS Elite 15u was intense and cohesive throughout their run to the 15u Brawl for the Ball Gold Championship.

Bufkin led the team in scoring over the weekend. Even more impressive was his response to Coach Lancaster challenging him to rebound. Bufkin was excellent on the boards all weekend. He received his first Division 1 offer this weekend from Bethune-Cookman University and Head Coach Ryan Rider.
TJ Barnes TJ Barnes 5'9" | PG Grandville | 2021 State MI
Barnes was his typical self. He was a floor leader who pushed the ball and found his teammates. Barnes was able to score on the break as well. He received his first Division 1 offer this weekend from Bethune-Cookman University and Head Coach Ryan Rider.
Jacarri Barnes
Barnes was a beast at Brawl for the Ball. He averaged a double-double with 10ppg and 10rpg.
Landon Regnerus
Regnerus is a 6’5” post player who just returned from surgery. He played with energy while rebounding, blocking shots, and finishing around the bucket.
Kalil Stimage Kalil Stimage 6'1" | CG Muskegon Reeths-Puffer | 2021 State MI
Stimage was called upon to pick up a scoring load from a couple players being injured or unavailable. He certainly responded. Stimage was UTS Elite’s top perimeter defender and effectively guarded each opponents top offensive player.
WHAT’S NEXT?
UTS Elite 15u will be heading to the Las Vegas Fab 48 for Nationals. They look forward to Andrel Anthony Jr. returning from injury and Trinidad Chambliss Trinidad Chambliss 6'2" | PG Forest Hills Northern | 2021 State MI joining the roster. UTS Elite 15u is eyeing their third championship this summer.
