The commitments in 2019 have begun and Sunday afternoon one of the top players in the class came off the board as East St Louis small forward Terrence Hargrove committed to St Louis University. He told PHI why they were his choice.
“St. Louis was my choice because they were my very first offer and they stayed by my side. They kept in contact with me and they treated me like family and that’s a school I know I’m going to play at.”
Hargrove is a super athletic forward that can play the three as well as be an effective small ball four in the Atlantic 10. Excels in the open floor, rebounds at a high rate, and can defend multiple positions. He spoke about the fit at SLU.
“They are the type of team that I can just play my game and just be free and have the freedom to play my game and Coach Ford is all for it.”
He will be running with Brad Beal Elite this July kicking things off at Peach Jam. Hargrove is the #4 overall prospect in the 2019 class and top ranked small forward!
