Standouts: Best of The South (Day 2)
The second day of the HoopSeen Best of the South was in full force at Lake Point Champions Center on Friday.
Here is a look at the standouts.
ICYMI: Day 1
Balsa Koprivica (Montverde/Georgia Stars)
A legit 7’1”, 2019 Montverde C Balsa Koprivica was finishing at the cup with dunks and lay-ins. Koprivica caught a full court pass with 50 seconds left just under the basket, stopped and connected off the glass and drew the foul. He was in and out of the game due to the hectic schedule over the past few weeks. But he impressed overall.

Tre Mann (Villages/E1T1)
Tre Mann is a confident playmaker who never stops grinding in any game he plays. The 6’4” Villages guard hit the mid-range with ease on the day. He can pull up from anywhere whether a defender is in his face or not. He was firing away against PSA.

Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd (New York Northfield Mount Hermon/PSA)
There’s no wonder High major Division I programs have offered 2019 forward Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd. He’s long, aggressive, speedy and intelligent. In a morning tilt with E1T1, he routinely got back in transition and had perfectly timed swats. At 6’10”, Lorca-Lloyd has a big ceiling.
Robin Perry (Oak Ridge/E1T1 United)
The Class 9A state championship hero, Robin Perry is looking for another opportunity from a post-grad program. Reclassifying to 2019, the 6’4″ guard continues to show off his high clip 3-pointer and he rarely came out of games. Perry is a smart kid who plays with poise as a true scoring threat.

Robbie Peek (Plant/Tampa Tarpons)
That was certainly the most aggressive I’ve seen Robbie Peek play. The 6’0″ 2020 Plant guard was making tough takes at the rim and pacing the floor well. Peek is a sneaky guard who has a high IQ and can do things you don’t picture him doing. Peek is going to be instrumental to Plant’s success this fall as he enters his junior campaign.
Joshua Williams (Choctaw/CP25 North)
At 5’10”, Joshua Williams knows he isn’t the biggest player on the floor, but he doesn’t care at all. The 2019 Choctaw is a leader by example and someone who is an elite passer (view the video below). Williams was driving inside and drawing contact, getting to the free throw line quite a bit. When he plays with poise, Williams is hard to stop whether he’s scoring or passing the ball.
