Six Rising Sophs You Should Know!
Overhills HS Guard Cinque Lemon: Last season he didn’t have a huge impact but showed some flashes of how good he could be in his first season of varsity basketball. One game in particular was their matchup with South View HS where he went for 19 points & 6 Rebounds in a win, expect for him to make some nice strides this season for the Jaguars.
Liberty Christian Guard Daymon Beckwith: Tucked away in Richlands, NC is a player that you will want to get very familiar with. His potential is clear and many have already taken notice, some players have a natural gift for scoring the ball and he seems to be one of those guys. Just taking a look at his stats last season you can see what we are talking about as he averaged over 20 PPG.
Pinecrest HS Guard Bradlee Haskell: Due to the way that Pinecrest plays, we didn’t get to see him play a ton of minuets but from what we did get to see, he was very impressive. The ability to break down his defender using his stellar ballhandling skills and quickness are some of the attributes that we liked about him and that make him special.
Berean Baptist Point Guard Kelton Battle: We like potential that Kelton has, he is a player that can be as good as he wants to be when he’s locked in. One game in particular that sticks out to me about him is his performance against Fayetteville Christian in an OT win he went for 18 Points, 8 Rebounds & 6 Assist.
Hoke County Guard Jaquantae Harris: He’s next up in line for Hoke County and will really have a chance to step in and show what he can do this year with the team losing its starting PG & SG to graduation. He hit the ground running last year but with limited touches we feel that he only showed up a glimpse of what he can possibly be.
Parrott Academy G/F Nick Harrison: He put together a solid freshman season with 10 PPG and will only look to add to that this season. Our first time getting a chance to see him was during the Elite 50 Middle School camp and he showed his ability to score the ball at a very high level.
