Shooters from the Summer Challenge
Prep Hoops was in Chicago this weekend for the Summer Challenge live period event. From the teams, I was able to check out here are the top shooters below!
Russell Peters Mean Streets EYBL 2021 Guard
Peters shot the ball lights out from three-point range. He is a deadeye elite shooter from behind the arc. Peters can both catch and shoot or create his own shot and be successful. He plays extremely hard, which also adds value to him as a player.
Troy Dobbs 2020 D1 Minnesota Point Guard
Dobbs shot the ball lights out from deep this weekend. He can pull up off the dribble on a dime making him tough to defend. He can also be a good catch and shoot guy from distance. When Dobbs heats up there is not much a team can do to slow him down. He has the potential to be a Low to Mid Major NCAA Division I prospect.
Colin O’Rourke 2020 Breakaway Basketball Wing
O’Rourke started the weekend impressing with his beautiful mid-range jumper. At 6’6 on the Wing, he elevates quickly off the dribble from mid-range making his shot close to impossible to guard. As the weekend continued he found great success from beyond the three-point line. He has an opportunity to really blossom at the Wing using his silky smooth jumper.
Brandon Rowe 2019 Wisconsin Academy Wing
Rowe shot the ball lights out from the Wing. He appears to have great confidence in every shot he takes and should with the great number of shots that end up in the bottom of the net. Rowe had himself quite a day filling it up from the outside.
Deshaun English 2019 Victory Ministry Wing
English found his stroke early from three-point and mid-range at the Summer Challenge. He has a smooth jumper with great elevation at 6’6 from the Wing. It helped him big time the fact he could get his shot off at a moments notice. English was one of the most consistent shooters all weekend. He is headed to a Prep School called Link Year in Branson, Missouri.
Nathan Shockey 2020 Breakaway Basketball Point Guard
The bigger the shot the easier Shockey made the baskets for Breakaway this weekend. He caught fire and went on a tear lighting up defenses left and right. Shockey was the pleasant surprise of the tournament. He is going to make a small college really happy with the way he can score it. On top of that, he competes with a high motor at all times.
