Recruiting Report: Ngonadi Olisa (2019)
Ngonadi Olisa, a class of 2019 post prospect from National Christian Academy, has put together a strong body of work this summer with the 6th Man Warriors. After a strong week at Hoop Group Team Camp, the athletic and energetic big showed flashes of brilliance in Atlanta at the Under Armour Challenge. Olisa described his overall game and recruitment in a recent interview with Prep Hoops.
PH: For those that haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your overall game?
ON: “Aggressive rebounder and shot blocker. High energy and motor.”
PH: What’s the most improved part of your overall game?
ON: “My offense. Mid-range shooting game and back to the basket offensive game.”
PH: What is the most underrated part of your overall game?
ON: “My offense. Known as a very good defensive player.”
PH: What are you looking to improve?
ON: “My offensive game and ball handling.”
PH: How are your grades?
ON: “Overall 3.25 GPA. Honor roll consistently for the past 2 years.”
PH: Who is recruiting you?
ON: “A few universities from the American Athletic Conference, Northeast Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference.”
PH: If you had to pick a few schools that are standing out; which ones would you say they are?
ON: “East Carolina University and Binghamton University.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a college program?
ON: “I’ll bring high intensity, hard work and a winning culture to any program I’m part of.”
ON: “Thank you for the opportunity to speak with you.”
Despite the fact that Olisa Ngoundi is not currently ranked by Prep Hoops, this will change very soon. When the next class of 2019 rankings update comes out (at the end of the summer), he will definitely be in the top-30.
