Prospect Spotlight: George Pridgett (2021)
A 6-foot combo guard from Roswell, rising sophomore George Pridgett already has a season of varsity ball under his belt, and three monster seasons could be ahead.
Currently Georgia’s 45th-ranked 2021, Pridgett is a guy that can score from anywhere on the floor, and after growing three inches recently, has become an even more dangerous offensive threat.
“People have told me that I’m a good shooter, and I personally believe that scoring is my strength. I can score at all three levels and my strongest suit is my shooting,” said Pridgett.
“And my athletic ability and my ball-handling are things I’m working to improve this offseason. I’m trying to dunk.”
Pridgett was the sixth-man last season as a freshman with the Roswell varsity. Next season, and the two seasons thereafter, his role will be dramatically different.
“My freshman year my role wasn’t as important as I wanted it to be, but I was a team player and I did the dirty work. I would guard and do the hustle plays,” said Pridgett.
“For my sophomore year, my role has changed tremendously. I’m the number one scoring option, and I’ll be looking to play a lot more minutes.”
Ahead of his sophomore season with the Hornets, the lefty guard is spending his 15 offseason with one of Georgia’s best teams, Game Elite 15U
“Playing with Game Elite has been a blessing, the program speaks for itself,” said Pridgett.
“This summer, I’m looking to pick up some offers, and if not that, then at least get some interest and be on some coach’s shortlists for next summer.”
