Prospect Spotlight: 2020 Adam Cisse
One of the more intriguing prospects that I saw this weekend at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest was 2020, Adam Cisse, of the New York Gauchos. Adam stands at 6’9 and has tons of muscle on him. He was very good this weekend on offense and showed that he can be a good rim protector at the next level. He was able to talk to us about how his summer has been going.
“My summer has been good, I have been playing well on the circuit and we did good at the Under Armour Challenge, it was a phenominal experience so overall it has been good.
He described his game like this, “I really try to get as many stops as I can on defense and play good offense, I just try to let the game come to me. I feel like I can take guards off the dribble when the ball is in my hands but I can score down low in the post too with my back against the basket.”
Adam has a good amount of muscle on him right now but he thinks getting stronger would even help his game more, “I really want to get stronger, I feel like if I get stronger, I can take my game to another level which would ultimately prepare me well for my high school season at Cardinal Hayes.”
Recruitment is starting to pick up more and more for Cisse, “Recruitment is going good, I am receiving interest from Quinnipiac, Hofstra, Manhattan and Bowling Green.
He discussed some of those schools below for us.
Bowling Green: “Coach Huger is a great person, I have talked to him a couple times and I think it could be a good fit.
Quinnipiac: “My teammate Tyrese Williams goes there, so knowing him, I know he picked a good school and I think I would definitely enjoy it there if I made the deicison to go there.”
Manhattan: “That school is a block from my house so it would be really nice to be near home so that is something I am really thinking about.”
When making a college decision he has two things that he will focus on “First is always academics, and where I can fit in on the court right away.”
