Prospect Introduction: Alex Fudge (2021)
Up in North Florida, a rising sophomore is making noise with his length and scoring.
2021 Lee guard/forward Alex Fudge is fresh off a freshman season as a full-time starter. The 6’5, 152-pounder is going to need to gain muscle to hold his own at the next level, but he has plenty of time to work on his body.
He holds one offer currently from UNF. He says his high school coaches tell him that UNF really likes his length, athleticism, ability to play from the perimeter and get to the hole with ease with a nice jumper.
“My freshman year at Lee was really challenging coming in as a starter and really having to carry the team,” Fudge told Prep Hoops. “I had to get used to it but adapted quickly. At first, all I wanted to do was shoot but then I gained confidence in my drive and finish.”
Fudge started to play with Team Parsons this summer. He says it is going well and he’s been a key player along with others on the team.
He alluded to his biggest strengths as his ability to get to the hole and finish, create open shots for his teammates and get open looks for himself. He wants to get better at guarding the other team’s top offensive weapon.
Fudge is a student of the game and a hard worker in the classroom. He holds a 3.4 GPA and is in the early college program, where he’ll be graduating with an AA degree. Lee will continue to lean on Fudge and with Team Parsons, he’ll only improve his awareness, aggressiveness and overall intelligence for basketball. He is a 2021 prospect to keep a close eye on.
