Perez Leads Group of Impressive Performers This Past Weekend
Max Perez Put On A Show Saturday in Grand Rapids
Max Perez (6’0 Point Guard- Hudsonville H.S.- 2020) plays for MBA Stovall and had two impressive games in a row on Saturday against Great Northern Elite and NW Ohio Basketball Club. Between the two games on Saturday, he finished with 15 made 3 pointers. Not only did he shoot the ball well, he showed great vision and got everyone on the team good looks which lead to 23/35 shooting behind the arc against NW Ohio Basketball Club. He also works really hard on the defensive end causing havoc for opposing point guards. His energy level is contagious and he would be a tremendous addition to whichever program he chooses to play at the next level.
Jaret Vermillion Catches Fire and Displays Toughness Against Indiana Legends
Jaret Vermillion (5’10 Shooting Guard- Arlington H.S.) led the NW Ohio Basketball Club in scoring against the Indiana Legends 2020 as he nailed six 3 pointers and finished with 24 points. Jaret came off staggered, flare and ball screens, got his feet set and knocked down four straight 3’s late in the game when his team needed them the most. From watching Jaret throughout the summer, the kid is tough. He took 2 charges in which he was just bulldozed and he popped right up. He dove for several loose balls and came up with many 50/50 balls for his team. Vermillion plays extremely hard and also has a high basketball IQ.
Josiah Mobley Leads All Ohio White in Louisville
Josiah Mobley (5’10 Point Guard- Reynoldsburg H.S.- 2021) plays for All Ohio White and put on a clinic in Louisville last weekend. Mobley showcased his ability to blow past defenders and use his floater to finish over rim protectors. He used his step back to create separation from defenders which he knocked down regularly throughout the weekend. Josiah also showed he has some range knocking down several 3 pointers from NBA range, often times coming off a ball screen when the defender went under the screen. Mobley will be a prospect to keep an eye on over the next few years.
