Peach Jam Bracket Play Standouts (Part 1)
In this article:
I stopped over to the bracket play day of Peach Jam in Augusta on Saturday.
Former and current NBA players Scottie Pippen, Kenyon Martin and Victor Oladipo all stopped by accompanied by a slew of Divison I head coaches.
Here is a look at the top performers from a busy Saturday in the Nike EYBL top tournament (Part 1).
Antwan Burnett (Alabama Sidney Lanier/Team Nightrydas)
The most dominant player on the floor for Team Nightrydas 16U on Saturday was 2020 Sidney Lanier guard Antwan Burnett. A dominant football player with high Division I offers there, he can get it done on the court with his strength and pure athleticism. The 6’4″ Burnett was knocking 3’s with ease, pacing the floor and commanding a lot of attention.

Cassius Stanley (California Sierra Canyon/Team Why Not)
Cassius Stanley passes the eye test with his strong frame at 6’6″ and he backs it all up. The 2019 Sierra Canyon guard is always active and noticeable on every play. Stanley is a strong jumbo point guard who was crucial in the quarterfinal win over Team United and the semifinal win over the Oakland Soldiers. He dished out some dimes against Team United. Stanley does all the little things which includes tipping balls off rebounds.

Nimari Burnett (California Prolific Prep/Team Why Not)
Alongside Stanley. 2020 Prolific Prep guard Nimari Burnett sure has an older feel about him. The 6’4″ guard is an elite finisher with mature driving skills. He is always sure of what he’ll do even in mid-air. Burnett has a huge ceiling as a scoring guard. He still needs to tweak his shot selection a little bit to further his stock two-fold.

Derrick Carter-Hollinger (Calfornia Foothills Christian/Oakland Soldiers)
At 6’5″, 2019 Foothills Christian guard/forward Derrick Carter-Hollinger plays so much bigger than his size. He found his way inside time and time again in the semifinal loss to Team Why Not. It seemed like he was the main aggressor and his shots were falling as well.
Armando Bacot (IMG/Team Takeover)
IMG was watching their new gem of a power forward Armando Bacot. The 6’10” 2019 forward was impressive on both ends of the floor. Bacot boxes out with ease, grabs two-handed boards, crashes the offensive glass and blocks shots with his length and athleticism. He is sound around the cup.
