More Predictions: Southwestern Buckeye League All-Conference
The SWBL should be a tough race for 1st come November. The top players in the league however, appear pretty clear. Many of the guys below were members of the 1st Team last season and should repeat again. One thing is for sure, the race for Player of the Year will be tight. Here is our predictions for 1st Team all-SWBL.
Buckeye Division
Twon Hines (2019)- Athletic, high scoring guard; jack-of-all-trades that can does almost everything for the Polar Bears. Prediction: 17 points and 5 rebounds per game
Levi McMonigle (2019)- 6’6” power forward; absolutely can take over a game on the boards. Prediction: 11 points and 12 rebounds per game
Grant Whisman (2020)- Offensive minded guard; can score from all 3 levels and should have more leadership role this season. Prediction: 18 points and 9 rebounds per game
Johnathan Shepherd (2020)- Young guard; proven he can score at a high level and can replace the void left by Justin Flor’s graduation. Prediction: 12 points and 4 rebounds per game
Charles Drewery (2019)- Low post threat; can easily grab a double-double on any given night. Prediction: 12 points and 9 rebounds per game
Southwestern Division
Jacob Gudorf (2019)- High IQ guard; has shown he can score this Grassroots season and has always been great at setting teammates up to score. Prediction: 13 points and 7 assists per game
Darren Rubin (2020)- Young guard; possesses a nice 3PT shot and will provide the Lumberjacks with a solid scoring option in the backcourt. Prediction: 15 points and 3 assists per game
Wade Turner (2019)- High scoring wing; broke out onto the scene last season and should have an even bigger year in 2019. Prediction: 15 points and 5 rebounds per game
Hayden Greene (2019)- Nice on-the-ball defender; has a nice offensive game in his arsenal as well. Prediction: 9 points and 3 rebounds per game
Caleb Scott (2019)- Under-the-radar player; has shown he can be a high scorer when needed. Prediction: 9 points and 4 assists per game
