More predictions: GWOC All-Conference
Last month, we shared our predictions for the GWOC in 2018-19. While that piece focused more on team predictions, this article predicts the 1st Team all-GWOC teams for 2018-19. The majority of the players listed are members of the Class of 2019, but several 2020 prospects easily will make the all-conference team come next March.
GWOC North
Bryant Johnson (2019)- Long and lengthy forward; will become the primary rebounding weapon for the Aviators. Prediction: 10 points and 7 rebounds per game
Michael Kreill (2019)- High IQ point guard that sets up teammates to score; can also be a scorer when needed. Prediction: 11 points and 4 assists per game
Ratez Roberts (2019)- An athletic forward with great instincts and a tremendous rebounder; will need to step up this season to help replace Andre Gordon. Prediction: 12 points and 10 rebounds per game
Noah Walker (2019)- Talented guard with a great scoring touch; should build off a strong showing last season. Prediction: 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.
Marcus Wood (2020)- Playmaker on both ends of the floor; can provide scoring relief when needed. Prediction: 8 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals per game
GWOC South
Samari Curtis (2019)- Proven scoring guard; finds ways to get the ball in the bucket. Prediction: 28 points per game, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game
Amari Davis (2019)- Long and lengthy 2-guard; an incredible athlete with a nice midrange shot. Prediction: 22 points and 8 rebounds per game
Justin Stephens (2019)- Solid rim protector; has a nice scoring touch under the rim. Prediction: 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game
Shaunn Monroe (2019)- quality scoring guard; has the ability to score at all 3 levels. Prediction: 21 points and 4 assists per game
Carl Blanton (2020)- Nice, athletic guard; will step into a bigger role for the Rams this upcoming season. Prediction: 12 points and 5 rebounds per game
GWOC East
RaHeim Moss (2019)- A strong guard; possesses great size and is not afraid to use this advantage against opposing players. Prediction: 17 points and 9 rebounds per game
Mo Njie (2020)- Long and lengthy center; has used this Grassroots season as a breakout year; great shot blocker. Prediction: 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game
Ryan Hall (2019)- Athletic point guard; has a great first step and gets to the rim with ease. Prediction: 12 points and 8 rebounds per game
Kellan Bochenek (2019)- A jack-of-all-trades; can score from all 3 levels and a proven lockdown defender. 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game
Ronnie Hampton (2019)- A solid 2-guard; great defensive skill set and a nice passer. Predictions: 11 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals per game
GWOC West
Duncan Hall (2019)- A physical inside presence; can score with his back to the basket and a talented rebounder on both ends. Prediction: 12 points and 11 rebounds per game
Corey Hartman (2019)- Flexible guard; can play either the 1 or 2; a solid pass-first assist guy. Prediction: 8 points and 4 assists per game
Michael Berner (2019)- Low post threat; has shown he can finish at the rim and a great shot blocker. Prediction: 10 points and 9 rebounds per game
Danny Lewis (2019)- Do-it-all guard; a nice scorer with great playmaking abilities on both ends of the floor. Prediction: 11 points and 6 rebounds per game
Zach Huffman (2019)- Solid Power Forward; will step up for the Warriors next season. Prediction: 12 points and 6 rebounds per game
