Michigan Warriors 17u Takes All In Hoopfest Championship

The Michigan Warriors 17u team boasts a talented roster full of kids with a team first approach. Last weekend they traveled to Louisville to play in the All In Hoopfest. The Michigan Warriors played excellent in big moments. In the semifinals they were down late, but managed to grind out a win. In the championship game, the Michigan Warriors 17u found themselves trailing by 13 with under three minutes to play. They made clutch plays on both ends of the floor to secure the All In Hoopfest Silver Bracket Championship. This is not a new occurrence for the Michigan Warriors 17u squad. In Milwaukee a week ago, they were down 18 with under four minutes remaining against Minnesota Select. The Michigan Warriors never gave up and pulled off a comeback victory. The run of come from behind victories speaks to how the team has developed a mental toughness and cohesiveness that is second to none.

All three of these guards are extremely talented. They can defend, run an offense, and are elite scorers. College coaches should be eyeing all three of these athletes.
John Ukomadu (Roseville)
Ukomadu shows up to play every single game. He was excellent finishing under the rim at the All In Hoopfest. Ukomadu was a force on the defensive end. There may not be a better rim protector under 6’7” in Michigan. Okomadu has Division 1 athleticism.
Jake Schuler (Rochester Adams)
Schuler is the definition of student-athlete. He’s a high character athlete with integrity and a great work ethic. Schuler has a 4.2 GPA as well. He is a 6’4” small forward who can contribute in multiple ways. Schuler is an outstanding program player.
