Frankie Davidson Puts On A Show
In easily the best game of the night, Indy Heat Red 2019 took overtime to beat All Ohio Black 2019. In the first half, it was a combination of David Ejah and Andrew Owens making plays but late in the first and well into the second half, it was Blackhawk Christian (IN) wing Frankie Davidson who showed out.
Davidson, a 6’5 wing was doing everything from clutch shooting to setup passes in transition, to a big defensive block to put it into overtime. It was as well rounded a performance as there has been all July and he did it in front of a host of NAIA and DII programs along with Omaha and IPFW.
He scored over 20 points in the win and maybe put himself in a position to land a few more offers. Frankie has a host of DII offers already and then Indianapolis and Air Force offered in the last week as well.
Drew Lutz Drawing A Crowd
One of the surprises for some this summer has been the emergence of Penn (IN) guard Drew Lutz. The 6’0 guard has been the main draw for MBA Select 2019 this summer and on Thursday afternoon, he did nothing but impress yet again.
Lutz has picked up a handful of offers from Bethel College, Truman State, Minnesota-Crookston, and McKendree. There were ton here just to take a peek as MBA Select has one of their few tournaments in their home state.
As the 2019 class has sorted itself out, look for Lutz to continue to be a high-end name on the list of the non-DI programs in the state. He could also sneak an offer in from a DI program as he has proven he is one of the best on-ball shooters in the Midwest.
