Five Facts about Charlie Cox
Over the next few weeks, PHD will spotlight some players in South Dakota in our “Five Facts” series. Be sure to pay attention as there is an “alternative fact” in each story.
This time we will put Charlie Cox under the spotlight. Cox will be a senior next season for the Panthers of Dakota Valley. He averaged around 11.6 points a game and was a big factor in the Panthers state tournament appearance last season. He’s a force on both ends for the Panthers and will look to get back to the state tournament this year.

1) He hit three game-winners in a row in his career.
2) The most points Cox has ever scored in a game was 42 points.
3) His most points he ever made in a high school game was 21.
4) Last year he shot 45 percent from downtown.
5) He’s made the state tournament three years in a row at Dakota Valley.
Did you catch which one was the false one? It was number 4 … Cox was a scoring threat last season, but most of his shots came within the three-point line. Cox made five three’s last season on 22 attempts.
