College Prospect Combine Final Notes
Pender HS 2019 PG Chance Poole: Coachability is one of the things that you have to like about him, he’s a player that you don’t have to tell things to 3 or 4 times. His head is always up and he’s looking to pitch the ball ahead to create easier possessions for his team by getting own into transition. D3 programs such as NC Wesleyan are showing some interest in him and if he continues to progress, then his recruitment will do the same.
W.J Kennan HS 2019 Wing Todd Garrett: One of the stronger playing wing players that we had throughout the day, he embraces contact well and finished through contact. Does a nice job of finding a body to boxout whenever the shot goes up which led to him having a solid day rebounding the ball. Offensively he was solid shooting the ball, knocking down a high percentage of shots from midrange and a few from deep.
Princeton HS 2018 Forward Ryan Woodard: There aren’t many quality players that are still left as far as unsigned seniors but he is one of the few that’s left. He can play inside the post at 6’4 at the smaller college level, but can also knock down shots from midrange when he’s open. The correct place and opportunity could be a nice fit for him to continue to perfect his craft.
Kerr Vance Academy 2019 Wing Timothy Pettiford: Good height, length and ability to score the ball in this prospect. With Kerr Vance losing multiple players due to graduation, he will be one that will have a chance to step up and show what he really can do. Anytime you watch this kid play, you have a high probability to see him finishing a play above the rim for a dunk.
Darlington HS 2020 Guard Brian Robinson: Displayed some nice speed and defensive ability throughout the day, he was constantly applying pressure and forcing turnovers. On the offensive end of the floor he is still learning and improving but we like the upside he has.
North Davidson HS 2019 Forward RJ Yokely: He’s 6’6 with nice upside to his game, he ran the floor well, blocked shots and made some good reads on the defensive end. We were impressed with how much effort he gave on the defensive end of the floor, one to keep an eye on over the next year.
