College Prospect Combine C/O 2019 Standouts
Overhills HS & TN Prospects Forward Jeremyah McWilliams: The improvement that he has shown over the years has been solid and he still has a nice amount of upside to him. His height and length are what catch your attention almost instantly at 6’7 with very long arms. Rebounding, blocking shots and running the floor are all things that he does well, Overhills will look for him to have a big time season this year while colleges are monitoring his progress.
Grace Christian & Red Storm 2019 Guard Evan Cheek: Don’t be surprised to see Evan have a breakout season in July as well as throughout his senior year with Grace Christian School. He has the ability to fill it up scoring wise and has advanced upper body strength which should help him transition to the next level rather smoothly.
James Kennan HS & Flight 22 Guard Darryl McCaster Jr: The first time that we got to see him was during a matchup with Clinton HS, we didn’t know much about him prior to but he was one of the more impressive players on the floor. His scoring ability was on display during the combine as well, he has a quick first step, can knock down shots and is a solid ballhandler. His size for a guard at the next level is solid and schools have already taken notice with him picking up interest from D1 and D2 programs.
Jack Britt HS 2019 Guard Terrance Ellis Jr: Expect for Ellis to have a nice season for the bucks as he teams up with Senior Calvin Washington, his ability to play both ends of the floor has been on display this summer and this weekend was no different. He gets nice elevation on his shot offensively and does a good job of using that same energy and effort on the defensive end of the floor to be disruptive.
Grace Christian 2019 Grace Christian & Carolina Wolves PG Nate Yow: One of the better PG’s throughout the day, he is a player that lives in the gym and he is showing that hard work truly pays off. His confidence with the ball seems to be higher, he’s more aggressive to attack the paint but still has the high IQ and silky smooth shot that caught our attention years ago. FTCC was the first to extend the offer but they won’t be the last, a good July and a standout senior season in high school is what we expect from him.
Freedom Christian 2019 Guard Chris Hooks: Testing wise he put together a top 5 performance at the combine, once it was time for the games, we noticed one thing that was obvious. He likes to win and hates to lose, the intensity that he brings to his team on and off the court cannot be questioned, constantly talking on and off the court to teammates and coaches.
