Blue Bloods Get Involved with Caleb Mills
The recruitment of 2019 guard Caleb Mills of PSB Elite has picked up steam eerily similar to that of Nate Hinton (Gaston Day) last July. Hinton came into July with a handful of mid-major offers and left the last live period of July with high-major offers.
Caleb MillsMills is a guard that can score from almost anywhere on the floor, has great size at 6-foot-3, has long arms and a really consistent shot from deep. To me what he does well is creates separation, can score off the dribble and is able to get by some of the best defenders in the country with his handle.
Mills came into July with some mid-major offers and is on track with one live period week left in July of picking up even more high-major offers by the time it is done. The difference with Mills and Hinton is that now North Carolina, NC State and much of the ACC have started recruiting the skilled shooting guard. North Carolina’s Hubert Davis watched Mills three times at the On The Radar Super 6 in Atlanta a week ago and Roy Williams made the trek to Emory University to see Mills for himself. Mills informed me that Williams called him after the event and made it clear he will be seeing him again this last live period.
NC State’s Kevin Keatts and Takayo Siddle watched him during the same time-frame in Atlanta and have also made it clear to Mills that the Wolfpack are going to be recruiting the rising senior from Asheville, North Carolina.
He has scheduled a visit to Houston for August 2,3, and 4 and Houston looks to be a landing spot for Mills. Head Coach Kelvin Sampson is from the Tar Heel state and does a fine job of recruiting players from the area. (Hinton) and Rob Gray (Forest City, North Carolina) are players that have left the state to go play for Sampson at Houston.
