Big Shots Myrtle Beach 3 : Palmetto Performers
Prep Hoops will be in attendance in Myrtle Beach, SC over the weekend for the last NCAA Live Period this July. Lets take a look at some of the Top Performers from the Palmetto State in this article from yesterday at Big Shots Myrtle Beach 3.
Davis Guyton (2019) – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach – Manzer 17U (pictured on front)
Guyton is a shot maker on the perimeter especially behind the three point line. Guyton has a great set of hands and touch from behind the arch. Guyton had 19 points in the opening round game of Big Shots Myrtle Beach 3. Guyton has thinned out his frame over the years and should have a big senior season for the Saints.
Jonathan Wright (2019) – Socastee HS – Confidence Cougars
Wright was on fire to start the day for the Confidence Cougars. Wright 5’10 undersized shooting guard knocked down 9 three pointers on his way to 33 points today in a opening round game.
Jordan Jones (2020) – Trinity Byrnes (Darlington) – Manzer 17U
Jones is a quarterback on the football field along with the hardwood. Jones helped Manzer stay perfect on the day with his solid play. Jones a left-handed guard really likes to attack the basket when given the chance.
Darrell Gardner (2020) – Georgetown HS – Manzer 16U
Gardner a shooting guard had a solid first day of the event hitting some shots behind the 3 point line. Gardner is best suited at the off guard spot. Gardner possesses a low shot release – bit awkward looking but it seems to go in most of the time.
Dajon Townsend (2021) – Lower Richland HS – South Carolina Tigers 17U
Townsend plays up a few age groups on the AAU circuit. Townsend a point guard plays at a very good demeanor on the floor for Head Coach Ed Scott a former Clemson basketball great. Townsend looks to set the table and can really get to the basket with his ball-handling.
