Big Shots Myrtle Beach 3 : 2019 Hoop State Performers
Prep Hoops has taken in the all the action from Big Shots Myrtle Beach 3. Lets take a look at some of the top performers from the 2019 class in North Carolina.
Trevon Spencer – Word of God – Carolina Wolves North Carolina 17U (pictured on front)
Spencer was constantly attacking the basket in Big Shots Myrtle Beach 3. Spencer stalks the baseline and has great length on the floor. Spencer finished with his left-hand many times despite being a right-handed shooter. Spencer is very athletic and defends the passing lanes very well. Spencer 6’5 started his high school career at Columbia HS in Columbia, NC.
RJ Yokley – North Davidson HS – North Carolina Spartans West
Yokley 6’5 was highly efficient around the basket here today. Yokley always seemed to keep the ball up high. Yokley needs to get better fighting through contact at times. Yokley tends to stay in the paint and do all of his work from just a few feet from the basket.
Damon Sanders (2018) – Hillside HS (Durham) – Bull City Select – AVAILABLE
Sanders was a 4 year player for the Hillside HS Hornets according to Bull City Select Head Coach James Zimmerman. Sanders 6’0 point guard can really change up speeds on the floor and isn’t afraid to dive around for a loose ball. Sanders has the ability to set up his teammates and makes sure that they are in the right position.
Julian Steinfeld – Grace Christian School (Sanford) – Carolina Wolves North Carolina 17U
Steinfeld 6’11 has a slender and sleek frame to him. Steinfeld runs the floor fine and does keep the ball up high. Steinfeld moves well around the floor and shows to have a nice touch from the floor line. Steinfeld will for sure need to add weight to his frame at the next level. Steinfeld has the ability to extend the defense and shoot the ball from outside 15 feet. Steinfeld averaged 11.8 ppg and 13.5 rebounds last season for the Crusaders. Steinfeld was born in Frankfort, Germany.
