Big Shots CLT: 2020 Standouts
Team CLT 2020 Guard Garrett McRae: We saw him last month with his high school team at the Saint Andrews University Team Camp, we were impressed then and are impressed once again with him. The overall skillset and IQ to make the right play at the right time are things that we like about him, the fact that he’s crafty with what he does, makes him that much more of a difficult player to defend.
Flight 22 (Fayetteville) 2020 Forward Kyron Kelly: Lot of potential in this young man and we are excited to see his transition from the AAU season to the high school season at Terry Sanford HS. He’s tall with good length and the ability to make plays above the rim, there is still some learning he has to do overall but I like the upside that he has.
Team Felton 2020 Wing Silas Mason: His height at 6’6-6’7, long wingspan and scoring ability are all reasons why his stock is on the rise at this point. He showed a bit of everything that he brings to the table on Saturday and caught the attention of quite a few programs that knew him already but wanted to see more of what he brings.
Flight 22 2020 Guard Dylan Blake: This wasn’t his best shooting day but what we really liked was that he found a way to stay actively engaged. Whether he was getting after it on the defensive end, make the correct pass or hustling after loose balls, he found ways to make an impact for his team.
Flight 22 2020 Guard Jordan McNeil: A player like Jordan doesn’t necessarily have off games, he may not be shooting the ball well but his rebounding ability allows him to create offense off offensive rebounds. Without a doubt he is one of the better rebounding guards that we had a chance to see and we fully expect him to have a special year at Lumberton.
Garner Road 2020 Wing Wy’kise Allen: A player that we have kept on an eye on for a good amount of time over the past few years. He has shown the ability to slide over and play the guard spot as well with his gift of passing the ball. When he is knocking down shots with consistency, he is a difficult player to defend.
