Big Shots Charlotte : Top Performances Breakdown
Prep Hoops takes a look at some top performances breakdown from this past weekend at Big Shots Charlotte. The event was held at Carolina Courts in Indian Trail, NC.
Best Performance :
Jaymeir Garrett (2019) – Smyrna HS (Smyrna, DE) – DH2B 17U
Garrett 6’5 is built like a linebacker on the basketball court. Garrett is very nimble for his size and shows to have GREAT FOOTWORK. Garrett caught everything in site thrown to him in the post and even knocked down shots on the perimeter.
Garrett uses his body extremely well to fight off defenders and works from block to block. Garrett showed to be a great passer and extremely skilled in what ever he focused to do on the floor. Garrett had 32 points and 18 rebounds in the opening game for DH2B 17U vs the South Carolina Playmakers.
All-Out Hustle Award :
Marion McFadden (2019) – Nettleton HS (Jonesboro, AR) – Combine Academy (NC)
McFadden is a physically gifted young man on the floor. McFadden played with Combine Academy (Lincolnton, NC) but hails from Jonesboro, AR. The Combine Academy is approaching McFadden to come to their way this coming season and he’s playing with their AAU program. McFadden 6’4 was a mismatch guy on the floor at times and is extremely active in whatever he does decide to do. McFadden collected many deflections in the lane or rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor.
Future is Very Bright :
Brady Dingess (2022) – Sheldon Clark HS (Inez, KY) – Big Shots West Virginia 15U
Dingess is just going to be in the 9th grade this coming season back in the Blue Grass State. Dingess averaged 19 ppg last season for the Cardinals. Dingess plays so smooth on the floor and makes his teammates better with his unselfish game. Dingess has the ability to get the ball to the rack or knockdown the open jumper. Dingess will see plenty of recruitment in the years to come that’s for sure. Dingess and his Big Shots West Virginia 15U teammates will be playing this weekend in Big Shots 3 and 4 in Myrtle Beach, SC for the last NCAA Live Period.
