Big Shots Charlotte : 2021 Top Performers
Lets take a look at which players from the 2021 class in the Palmetto State stood out at times this weekend in Big Shots Charlotte. Prep Hoops attended the event for 2 days which was held at Carolina Courts in Indian Trail and Concord, NC
AJ Thompson – York Prep – Palmetto City Hurricanes
Thompson was a bright spot all weekend for the Palmetto City Hurricanes 2021 squad. Thompson 5’10 connected on several shots on the perimeter and behind the 3 point line. Thompson has a quick shot release and has the ability to create off the dribble. Look for Thompson to make a appearance next month in the new rankings for the 2021 class.
Chase McDuffie – Gray Collegiate – Palmetto City Hurricanes
McDuffie scored 16 points in the game Prep Hoops took in vs Big Shots West Virginia 15U. McDuffie has a nice shot release and good size for the shooting guard spot. McDuffie 6’3 has great size already at the shooting guard position.
TJ Sanders – Marion HS – Team Wall Southeast – Marion 2021
Sanders 6’4 just does his thing time after time on the floor. Sanders has the ability to play inside-out on the floor. Sanders tends to get a bit emotional at times but, really rebounds the ball well on both sides of the floor. Sanders has the ability to drive the ball especially from the top of the key to the basket – especially the left-side. Sanders finishes well with his left-hand despite being right-handed.
Destin Clark – Team Loaded 704 2020 – Comenius (Fort Mill) (pictured on front)
Clark has reclassified into the 2021 class and the new rankings will come out in September will show them. Clark is a physically thick framed guard who prefers to attack the basket. Clark has transferred out of Indian Land HS for Comenius (Fort Mill). Clark told Prep Hoops that he transferred and reclassified. Clark likes to bully players with his frame and really sees the floor well when he penetrates the gaps and passes.
