Big Shots 2 : 2019 Under the Radar Prospects
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some of the 2019 Under the Radar guys from the Hoop State (North Carolina) that played this past weekend in Big Shots 2 Myrtle Beach, SC.
Paul Whitby – Roanoke Rapids HS – Squires Richmond
Whitby 6’2 shooting guard came out on fire for Squires this weekend. Whitby is a very deceptive athlete is always in position to shoot the ball while on the perimeter. Whitby connected on several three pointers today and jump shots. Whitby averaged 18.4 ppg and 4.7 rebounds while at Roanoke Rapids HS.
Nick Brown – Westchester Country Day (High Point) – Big Shots North Carolina 2019
Brown was recently playing with Team CP3. Brown 6’1 was cat quick end to end with the ball in his hands. Brown was very vocal on the floor with his teammates and played extremely hard. Brown is a solid on the ball defender.
Marcus Harrison – Southern Vance HS (Henderson) – Tri-County Thunder (pictured on front)
Harrison 5’9 can really score the ball. Harrison connected on 10 three pointers on his way to 44 points vs West Virginia Reign. Harrison averaged 22.9 ppg this past season while at Southern Vance HS.
Toyaz Solomon – Rocky Mount Prep – Southside Ballers
Solomon 6’6 slender and sleek forward likes to roam out on the perimeter. Solomon likes to handle the ball as much as possible. Solomon stalked the baseline several times today looking for activity around the bucket. Solomon averaged 10 ppg this season at Rocky Mount Prep.
Cyril Nesmith – Graham HS – Mid-State Magic
Nesmith 6’7 stays in the paint and keeps the ball up high. Nesmith has good length and moves well away from the ball. Nesmith didn’t get many offensive looks today in the post. Nesmith seems to have good hands when given the ball in the paint.
Lloyd Pandi – Bull City Prep (NC) – Big Shots North Carolina 2019 – AVAILABLE
Pandi is AVAILABLE now after just completing a post-graduate year at Bull City Prep for Head Coach Darryl Harris. Pandi a hard playing slashing guard from Canada is a self-reported academic qualifier. Pandi 6’3 was all over the floor this weekend if it was diving or picking up loose balls. Pandi can really explode to the basket with the ball.
Trey Cousins – Burlington School / Washington Academy (NC) – Mid-State Magic (POSTGRAD)
Cousins can fill it up from the perimeter. Cousins informed Prep Hoops that he will do a post graduate year at Washington Academy (NC) next season. Cousins scored 25 points in the game we saw him play here today at Big Shots 2 with 7 three pointers.
