Adidas Three Stripes (Friday Standouts)
Here is a look at some of Friday’s top standout from the Adidas Three Stripes at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO:
Caleb Love 6’3″ Brad Beal Elite
The athletic 2020 guard from CBC had a dominant performance with 23 points in BBE’s victory over the STL Majestics in 17U pool play action. Love displayed his explosive athleticism with a couple of impressive dunks, his shooting range with a pair of 3-pointers as well as his variety of moves to get buckets.
Avery Taggart 6’4″ T.E.M. Select 17U
The big bodied 2019 wing from Eureka enjoyed two impressive performances as he averaged nearly 20 points in a couple of victories. He displayed good handles and the ability to get buckets from all three levels. He’s tough to stop when he gets a full head of steam towards the basket. The timing was excellent as he earned a pair of Division II offers from Lindenwood and Quincy on Friday night.
Marcedus Leech 6’5″ Semo Bulls 17U
A one-time top 50 prospect heading into high school, the long 2019 wing from Jonesboro, AR has suffered through a series of injuries throughout his career. This was my first time seeing him play in nearly two years. He gave a reminder of just how talented he is as he dropped an easy 20 points with a dazzling array of creative moves off the dribble and a feathery touch from 3-point range. He can still yo-yo that basketball and create his own shot at any time.
Trent McBride 6’7″ Storm Elite 17U
The 2019 forward from Eminence enjoyed a huge performance in his team’s first victory over Arkansas Will in pool play. He scored a game-high 36 and dominated at both ends of the floor. His combination of footwork, fundamentals and shooting touch around the basket are near flawless. He’s a lefty, but he can score with both hands and he will step out and get buckets on the perimeter.
Josh Wallace 6’6″ Brad Beal Elite
The bouncy 2019 power forward from CBC played with a high motor and was very productive in BBE’s two easy victories in pool play. He attacked the basket with bad intentions and put on an impressive display of power dunking. He had a total of eight dunks in two games, which included alley-oops, rim runs in transition and offensive put backs. His effort and energy is limitless when he is on the floor.
Tyrek Coleman 6’2″ St. Louis Cobras Elite 17U
The talented 2019 wing from Francis Howell Central had a big game in the Cobra’s victory over a good Jets-Ramey United team. He scored a game-high 21 points in the victory. His athleticism and effort enable him to play bigger than his size, especially when it comes to offensive rebounding. He got buckets off the dribble and did an excellent job in the transition game.
Jaden Winfield 6’3″ Ramey-Jets United 15U
A young and talented 2021 wing player from good bloodlines. His father was a former Mizzou standout. Jaden has good athleticism and a high basketball IQ. He can create good offense for himself with his handles, but he is also very unselfish and he will share the ball. He has a nice shooting touch from the perimeter.
Blake Fowler 5’9″ Semo Bulls 15
The young 2021 point guard from Campbell put on a nice offensive display with 26 points in a victory over the STL Shooting Stars. He has the ability to knock down 3-pointers off the catch, plus he had some very nice escape moves to get buckets off the dribble. He was aggressive on the defensive end as well with quick hands.
