Adidas Three Stripes (Class of 2020 Forwards)
Here is a look at the top Class of 2020 forwards from last weekend’s Adidas Three Stripes at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO:
J.J. Schwepker 6’5″ Gateway Basketball Club
The talented forward from Fort Zumwalt South has been an excellent addition to Gateway’s team in the past few weeks. His ability to shoot the 3-pointer and stretch the floor has been a weapon on a team with talented bigs and guards who can get to the basket. He shot nearly 50 percent from 3-point range and owned the corners. He moves well without the ball and he is also a solid rebounder and passer.
Keydrian Jones 6’5″ Gateway (IL): A beefy power forward from Collinsville, IL who helped his team to the 16U championship with his excellent inside play. He used his big body to carve out space in the lane and he was very effective at finishing around the basket. He had a number of big three-point plays off his offensive rebounds in traffic in key stretches of game. He’s physical and he doesn’t mind throwing his weight around.
Michael Skoff 6’4″ Arsenal Hoops
A versatile combo forward from DeSmet who creates matchup problems with his ability to step out and shoot 3-pointers consistently. He is also very good at putting the ball on the floor and making plays at the basket to compliment his shooting. He has good size and he’s always under control.
Devion Moore 6’6″ Brad Beal Elite
The young power forward from Parkway Central did his best work on the defensive end and on the boards during the weekend. He did a good job of protecting the rim as he used his vast length to block and challenge shots without risking any foul trouble. He’s very mobile and can run the court.
Blake Vaughn 6’5″ TEM Select
A robust forward from Rockwood Summit who has a unique skill set for a youngster with a big body. He is strong physically and can score around the basket, but he likes to play on the perimeter where he is effective at driving the ball or spotting up to shoot the 3-pointer.
