Adidas Three Stripes (2020 Guards/Wings)
Here is a look at some of the top 2020 point guards from last weekend’s Adidas Three Stripes at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO:
Ray’Sean Taylor 6’0″ Gateway (IL)
An excellent point guard from Collinsville, IL who led his team to the 16U championship game. He is a slick ball handler who showcases those handles and his ability to get into the lane and get buckets from all different kinds of angles. When the game is tight and on the light, he really steps his level up play up and he came through with several big baskets. He’s quick and he’s always under control and knows where he wants to go on the floor.
Phillip Russell 5’10” Brad Beal Elite
A quick young floor leader from Vashon, Russell can really shoot the ball from 3-point range which gives a coach the flexibility to play him off the ball as well. He likes to push the ball up court and keep things at a fast tempo when he is out there. He has recently picked up Division I offers from Valparaiso and SEMO.
Jeremiah Johnson 6’2″ Gateway Basketball Club
A solid combo guard from McCluer with good length and athletic ability, which really comes in handy on the defensive end with his ability to pressure the ball and get into the passing lanes. He had a solid weekend as he consistently got into the lane and scored on layups and short jumpers.
Tyrus Reddin 5’8″ Semo Bulls
A super quick point guard from Cape Girardeau Central with excellent burst and the ability to elevate at the rim and finish above much bigger defenders. He has a nice pull up jumper. He plays much bigger than his actual size.
Kyle Geraghty 6’0″ Arsenal Hoops
A solid young pass-first point guard from Parkway West. He plays the game with a lot of confidence and savvy, especially when it comes to passing the basketball. He knows how to maneuver through traffic and deliver dimes with both hands. He can also penetrate and make shots when needed.
