Who are a few 2021 point guards that helped their stock with their play during the spring?
Nathanael Hoskins (Danville)
Hoskins played on a veteran group at Danville this past season so there wasn’t much of an opportunity for playing time especially with the top 2018 point guard in the state ahead of him. He opened eyes this spring running with Meanstreets. The crafty guard lives in the paint and makes plays scoring or the right dish to teammates.
Ethyn Brown (Belleville Althoff)
Brown showed flashes as a freshman at Althoff, but established himself as an early top 50 player with his play for Ramey-Jets United on the grassroots circuit. The point guard did a nice job this spring running the show, getting everyone involved, while still finding his own offense.
Parker Wolfe (Effingham)
Wolfe played as a freshman, but it wasn’t until late in the spring that the 5’9” guard really broke out. His toughness and competitiveness showed through the last two weeks of the spring with the Illinois Bears going for huge scoring games and hitting clutch shots.
Kyonte Thomas (Bolingbrook)
Thomas is the next guard to make noise at Bolingbrook. They seem to keep rolling them in as Rob Brost never has a shortage of guards. This 5’10” point guard is a plus passer that showed well in the drive and kick game. Active with his length on the defensive end.
