2019 Armando Bacot Breaks Down Final 5 Schools
One of the top performers in all of July was 2019 big man, Armando Bacot, of Team Takeover. Bacot was named MVP of the Nike EYBL Peach Jam after leading Takeover to a Peach Jam Champioship. Before Peach Jam, he helped Team USA win a gold medal in the Fiba U18 Championship. Earlier in the summer also, Bacot announced that he would be transfer to IMG Academy. As you can see, Bacot had one of the most successful summers in all of high school prospects. Now that all of his grassroots basketball is done with, it is now time for him to inch closer to making a college decision.
This past weekend Bacot announced that he is down to five schools including Georgia, Oklahoma State, North Carolina, VCU and Duke. He broke down each school for us.
Georgia: “Coach Crean has always been a huge fan of me even when he was not coaching and he gives me advice on and off the court.”
Oklahoma State: “ Their coaching staff have been in to see me the most. They think I can be a great player and leader for the program.”
North Carolina: “Coach Williams has been consistent with his message towards me and I am the top priority for them.”
VCU: “They are the hometown school, they want me to come in an put on for the whole school and they think my first year there we could make a huge run.”
Duke: “Last week they were 4 deep for me all week, they want me to come in and produce.”
When asked what he will look at when deciding what school he will attend, he said, “A school where I can best excel in.”
