The final full June weekend included a heavy helping of basketball exploits.  Hundreds of players camped with colleges, while both high school teams and AAU teams tended to compete across the southeast.  Grab a seat, put your feet up, and peruse our state’s basketball newsletter.

Dalton Marsh (2020) camped with Murray State.

Tonight is Connor Arnold’s (2017) first night as a college freshman on VMI’s campus.  Formerly a star with Grace Christian, Connor Arnold spent 2017-2018 with Beckley Prep in West Virginia.  He earned a VMI offer and signed accordingly.

Intriguingly, Class of 2019 point guard Jerriah Love of the Tennessee Prospects 17u team worked out with VMI Saturday.  He plays for Science Hill High.

K.J. Johnson (2019) camped with Murray State.  UT Martin and Tennessee Tech, both OVC programs have offered Johnson. Murray State did not immediately offer him during Saturday’s camp.

Star 2022 guard Chandler Jackson had 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Christian Brothers High School over BTW Saturday.  Jet-quick Eli Federman (2021) added 14 points.

Jeremyah McWilliams working out with Coastal Carolina tomorrow (Sunday),” according to TN Prospects Head Coach Julian.

Class of 2022 Fisher Anderson dominated the post in a smaller Smyrna event at the 14u level.  He will be a freshman at Franklin High.  Wilco Select 14u AAU-teammate Brevin Klym shot remarkably Saturday.  He will also attend Franklin High in two months.

Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (HHCA) spent Saturday team camping at University of Florida.  According to HHCA Head Coach Zach Ferrell Class of 2020 forward Bayron Matos consistently recorded 15+ rebounds per game.  Matos (pictured right) is a staggeringly strong big man with great promise.

Class of 2019 Antavion Collum trimmed his list to seven college programs.  Right now Collum listed: Missouri, UNLV, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Georgetown, Ole Miss.  Collum is currently ranked #3 in the state and plays for Tennessee Prep Academy.

Senior-to-be Torian Daly Jr. also camped with Murray State Saturday.  Daly Jr. will compete with J.J. Platt for an extremely fast Stewarts Creek HS team this upcoming winter.

One of the top 2021’s in the state Brandon Huntley-Hatfield (Clarksville Academy) visited Ole Miss.

Class of 2020 forward terror Michael Wallace (Stratford) did what Mike Wallace do.  He dunked and rebounded like the bulldog that he is.  Wallace is ranked twelfth in the state.

According to Tennessee Tigers Head Coach Chip Smith, 2020 PG Will Pruitt added interest from Lipscomb, Belmont, and Wofford in June.  He will be a junior with Mt. Juliet.

Tariq Daughton camped with Murray State Saturday.  He is a top 60 player in the Class of 2020.
