Top 2020 Guards in Piedmont
The Piedmont region of North Carolina has produced some really good basketball players over the past few years and overall has been a hotbed for college recruiting. Here is a look at some of the top 2020 guards from that region.
Jalen Cone (Walkertown HS)-Cone is naturally a point guard he is an elite level athlete, he can facilitate the fast break, rebound, take over a game at will and has a very high basketball IQ for his age. He can play all three perimeter positions and is a defensive hound that has a great frame that allows him to guard all three positions
Silas Mason (Smith HS)-A high flying wing player that can be as good as he wants to be, can handle the ball, creates for himself and others and plays the game with supreme confidence. Strong player for such a young age, when he makes him mind up of attacking the basket, few can stop him.
Camren Hayes (Greensboro Day)-One of the up and coming stars in the state, he’s quick and explosive and really excels in transition. Does a good job of finding teammates and getting others involved.
Christian Bailey (Statesville Christian)-Has been playing varsity basketball since the eight grade, has a very high ceiling of potential that is not even being close to being reached at this point. Brings the same energy on both ends of the floor.
Devan Boykin (Ragsdale HS)-A player who can give you solid scoring as well as good distributing to teammates, he can shoot the ball well and takes good shots. What you have to like about him is that he always look to make the best play for the team to win, he is an unselfish player and very coachable.
Jaden Hester (Eastern Alamance HS)-A Guard with a nice amount of upside, he looks to get teammates going first so he doesnt put up bigtime scoring numbers but he is a high impact guy. Plays the game with toughness and will only get better as time goes on, alot to like about the upside that he has.
