Top Point Guards : Carvers Bay Summer League
Prep Hoops is still trying to catchup from all the action this week we took in throughout the Camp circuit. Lets take a look at some of the best point guards in the Carvers Bay Summer League.
Emorie Knox (2020) – Myrtle Beach HS
Knox is extremely quick end to end and has a motor that just keeps going and going. Knox is ranked #7 in the 2020 Palmetto State Class. I haven’t seen any kids as quick as him from end to end with the ball. Knox really takes pride in his defense on the floor. Knox has gotten stronger and the shot is starting to come around. Knox plays on the AAU circuit with Upward Stars Southeast 2020.
Jalen Bailey (2019) – Stall HS
Bailey a left-handed guard likes to play fast and push the ball up the floor. Bailey makes the Warriors offense go with his game. Bailey is quick in the open floor with the ball.
Quez Lewis (2021) – Johnsonville HS
Lewis 5’6 point guard needs to learn to attack the rack a bit more for the Flashes. Lewis tends to settle for more perimeter play. Lewis logs a lot of minutes for the Flashes as the primary ball-handler for Head Coach Harris Avant.
Marshall Myers (2021) – Cheraw HS
Myers is a great table setter and has the ability to knock down shots. Myers plays with Jalen Coit in the Braves back court. Myers can extend the defense with his outside shooting and averaged 13 ppg last season for the Braves.
Tevin Young (2022) – Carvers Bay HS (pictured on front)
Young was a blur on the court today for the host Bears. Young a left-handed guard is the future for Head Coach Jeff Mezzatesta. Young played with a fearless attitude and seemed to get to the rack at will. Young connected on a few mid-range jumpers.
