Recruiting Report: Nate Seputis (2020)
Lincoln Way East 2020 center Nate Seputis is one of the better post prospects in the rising junior class. We caught up with the skilled big man to discuss his junior season.
How was the high school season at LWE?
“It went good. We made it to the sectionals, but we lost to West Aurora. I feel like I grew over the season. Trying to get more physical, getting stronger, and working in the low post.”
Where did he see the most improvement?
“I feel like my low-post game and jump shot has evolved a lot. My team doesn’t have much size and I needed to fill in that five spot. That is what I have been working on.”
Seputis is running with Team RWA this spring. How was the first couple months on the circuit?
“I have been playing well. I have been getting my teammates the ball, but still scoring when my team needs me too.”
He talked about the best parts of his game at this stage.
“I feel like my strengths are rebounding especially, mid-range shot, and communication on the floor.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“I am hearing from Dayton, Wisconsin, Portland, and I have offers from Southern Utah and UTEP.”
Schools that have reached out to him since June 15 which is the first day if direct contact include Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, Miami (OH), and Wisconsin Milwaukee.
