Recruiting Report: Logan Nagorski (2019)
Big Lake 2019 small forward Logan Nagorski is ready to hit the four summer events hard with the Minnesota Comets and Logan feels strongly about his senior year with the Hornets.
Big Lake had a tough 17-18 season winning only ten games but the good thing is that the program brings back most of it’s key players.
We have 2 starting guards back, our starting center, and myself,” Logan said about the 18-19 year. “We should have the right pieces to make a run at state this year. We will have a similar team to last year and a few newcomers.”
Logan scored 18 points and 4.5 rebounds a game as a junior while center DeVonne Harris averaged nine points and nine boards. Both are back as are guard Trey Teige and Spencer Hinrichs.
Logan is doing two things to get ready for his senior year: 1) he is working relentlessly on his own to improve his skills and size, “I would like to keep working on my ball handling and shooting, also put some more weight on,” Logan said, and 2) he is playing with the Minnesota Comets Elite team.
Injuries and some bad timing of May prom weekends have led to more losses than the Comets would like, but the team has still won 18 games in 26 opportunities, and they expect better results when the summer events hit.
“Beating Martin Brothers was a good win for us this summer,” Logan said. ” Looking forward to July. 3. I think we are looking foreword to competing for the MY2LAchampionship and also playing in Las Vegas.”
At this point two programs are showing the most interest in Logan and Nagorski expanded on his recruitment.
“St. Cloud State and South Dakota School of Mines (are showing the most interest),” Logan said. “I don’t have any visits scheduled as of now but I just went to the Saint Cloud State.
“South Dakota School of Mines offered me and it’s a good school. I think I might go up in August and go on a visit to Saint Cloud. Great school, both my parents played college basketball there.”
