Recruiting Report: Karsten Broadley (2019)
Six-foot-6 forward Karsten Broadley spoke with NHR today about the schools recruiting him, playing with the Pirates, and the new school he will be attending next fall.
Broadley scored 17.6 points per game this winter at Fosston as a junior. For his senior year he plans on joining the defending state champion Raiders.
“For my senior year I will be at Cretin-Derham Hall,” Broadley said. “I’m excited to go be a part of that program and have a great season”
To prepare for his senior year Karsten wants to give the Raiders production from many different areas.
“I’m looking to tighten up every part of my game so I am able to play a number of positions and be more versatile.”
Broadley missed playing with the TC Pirates this past weekend because of family reasons but he has been with the team in the previous three events and will continue with them into the summer.
“So far for AAU I had met a lot of great teammates,” Karsten explained. “We have been to some great tournaments and played against some good competition. We are working on some finishing touches as a team to become a top team coming into the end of June and July.”
The NSIC seems to be in regular contact with Karsten who is an agile forward with a shooting touch that continues to add range and consistency.
“I’ve been in contact with St. Cloud State, South Dakota School of Mines, Bemidji State, University of Minnesota-Crookston, St. John’s by phone for visits,” Broadley said. “I’m planning on making it to as many camps as possible after the state Golf tournament that I will be participating in June 11-13.”
