Recruiting Report: Justin Hohn (2019)
Six-foot-1 guard Justin Hohn of Tea Area recently picked up a scholarship offer and has a long list of college programs in contact ranging from local NAIA programs up to three division one schools.
“As of now, I have one offer from Concordia St-Paul,” Justin told Prep Hoops. “I have interest from Augustana, U of Sioux Falls, Northern State, Mount Marty, Dakota Wesleyan, Dakota State, Jamestown, Briar Cliff, North Dakota State, UC Irvine, and Wright State.”
Hohn is the point guard of one of the top teams in South Dakota, Tea Area. The Titans went 19-6 this winter earning second in state and the year before many of these same players were key pieces to the 2017 state championship team at Tea.
“My junior season as a Titan didn’t finish the way we wanted but it was still a season to be proud of,” Hohn said. “I would say I improved my decision making, as long as my leadership.
“Efficiency and consistent shooting would be the two biggies I want to improve on for this senior year.”
Hohn is a regular when it comes to routine workouts but he’s also playing his 17u season with the Pentagon Schoolers who are 12-10 on the season through five events.
“Playing with the Schoolers this year has been a lot of fun,” Justin explained. “All the guys feel like family and regardless of what happens on the court, we’re all good off the court. We have let a few losses slip away but besides that I’ve been impressed with this team and want to finish the summer out strong.
“My teammates and I hope to get as many wins as possible and to enjoy, for some of us, our last summer of AAU basketball.”
Overall Hohn is one of the most talented seniors-to-be in the state of South Dakota and he will be one of the top players to follow this July and next winter.
