Recruiting Report: Jeremiah Tisme (2019)
Jeremiah Tisme and the Gainesville Hurricanes lost a thriller in last year’s Class 7A region final.
The 6’10”, 176-pounder was a crucial piece to Gainesville’s success as a top-end shot blocker and jump shooter.
The Hurricanes finished 24-6 losing 54-52 to eventual state runner-up Choctaw. Tisme, a 2019 prospect said his junior campaign went well.
“There were a lot of things I had to learn. I had to be more active and better all around ,” Tisme told Prep Hoops. “There were things that I didn’t know. I learned from it and now I see the court better and it is easier to play.
I saw my confidence grow at the end of my sophomore year that I have to step up and take over be aggressive and see more things on the court. It has carried over.”
Currently, Tisme holds four offers from Stetson, FGCU, UNF and Northern Arizona. He also has interest from Troy and Florida A&M.
Tisme says that Florida A&M messages him to see how he is doing. He also said they like how well he can shoot.
He started the AAU summer with the Showtime Ballers but he is now playing with Game Speed Elite.
In terms of his biggest strengths, Tisme alluded to his leadership, passion, jumper, aggressiveness and defensive prowess.
Full of length and energy, Tisme is hard to miss on the court. He certainly needs to get stronger to hold up at the next level but his seasoned jumper gives him an edge over other players his size.
