Recruiting Report: Carter Henry (2019)
BOLD power forward Carter Henry joined his fellow young teammates in pushing BOLD into the top ten of Class A basketball this year. With what’s returning expectations are very high.
“This coming season has some high expectations,” Carter said. “With the Vosikas (Gavin and Dawson) and the Sagedahls (Drew and Jordan) returning, we have no reason not to believe that we will be the best team in the area.
“I’m very confident and ready for my senior year. Our team expects nothing less than a state championship. It’s not going to be easy but I believe we have the talent and mindset to do it.”
No top ten squad has what BOLD has returning when it comes to production. Everyone has the state title for a goal but at BOLD the talent is there to reach the dream, if they can put things together to make the run.
Carter has high expectations and he’s set off-season goals for himself.
“I’ve been in the gym lifting and working on big and little parts of my game to put fine tune in things and add more tools to my arsenal,” Carter said. “Not only that but I’ve taken the initiative to become a better leader for my teammates.”
At 6-foot-8 as an explosive finisher with wide shoulders and a quick bounce to the ball schools are of course interested.
“(I’ve heard from) Minnesota State-Moorhead, Winona State early in the summer, Sioux Falls this winter, Bucknell Northwestern (D3), Nebraska-Lincoln, Kansas State, Wisconsin-Stout, and Jamestown,” Carter said. “I am going to camps at Bethel and Dordt! I’ve been invited to the Top 250 Expo and I plan to visit some colleges this summer!”
